The C2 Platform for Ford Escape
According to Chris Mosco, the brand manager for Ford Escape the all-new 2020 Ford Escape is made on ‘C2 Flexible’ platform. Where 2019 ford escape was built upon ‘C5’ platform. According to Ford, this platform provides better vehicle dynamics. Ford for working on this Escape for as long as 7 years.

New Engine line up in 2020 Ford Escape
Ford has re-engineered and revamped the options of engines available for 2020 Ford Escape. 2020 Ford Escape has the following engine availability
Ford has four engines in total. Two gas powered and two Hybrid

- 1.5 L EcoBoost Engine (180 Horsepower/177lb-ft)

Explaining it in a simple language we can explain it as – Full hybrid cannot run solely on electric power, whereas Plug-in Hybrid does run solely on electric power. According to Ford, 2020 Ford Escape can run for 48 Kilometres on electric power. Both have different sized batteries. Both have different output batteries. Full hybrid has 1.1 KwH output battery while Plug-in Hybrid has bigger 14.4 Kwh output batteries. Even though both of the models have batteries, the 2020 Ford Escape has been designed in such a way that you don’t have to compromise the seating comfort or cargo space.
What is Dynamic Cylinder Cutoff?
Dynamic cylinder cut-off or cylinder deactivation is the new technology adopted by Ford in the new generation Escape. It helps to increase fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions as it shuts down a cylinder when not required.
2020 Ford Escape Exterior
Ford has changed the exterior of 2020 ford escape completely. 2020 Ford Escape is said to be made lighter by 200 lbs, Wider, lower and longer than its predecessor. Ford says that the 2020 Ford Escape is sportier, more precise handling, and of athletic persona.

2020 Ford Escape has new design styles of alloy wheels. 19 Inch machined-face aluminum wheels with dark painted pockets. The 4th generation Ford Escape is manufactured using new sheet metal making it 200 lbs lighter giving better fuel efficiency. Headlights have been redesigned for more illumination and better visibility in low light conditions. 2020 Ford Escape has been given signature lighting and LED fog lamps with a distinctive grille.

2020 Ford Escape has an 8-inch available touch screen in the centre stack for infotainment, directions, etc. There are two knobs one for tuning and one for temperature each which makes it intuitive to use. The interior has been designed for ease of operations while driving. 2020 Ford Escape has an all-new 6-inch HUD (Head’s up display) which will help with driver input information. The rear seats have been given a 6-inch sliding foundation. The rear seat can now slide 6 inches forward or backwards. If more space for cargo is required, simply slide the seats forwards giving 3 more cubic feet of space. When not required, you can slide back 6 inches making it a very roomy back seat row.
